For those who want an iron that can remove wrinkles quickly, the Breville VIN405 PowerSteam Advanced steam iron is certainly worth your consideration. In this review, I will explain the technical specifications, performance capabilities, and include user feedback to help you decide if it's the right fit for your specific ironing needs.
This one has the model number VIN405 so make sure it says that on the iron. I'm Enda McLarnon, and on my steam iron review website, I have a lot of research experience in the UK and hand's on knowledge about many laundry related products. I have used this VIN405 model so as I can help give you my thoughts on this steam iron.
First Impressions
Straight out of the box, the VIN405 looks to be good quality. It's sleek and sturdy, with a comfortable handle and a standard 300ml water tank. The ceramic soleplate looks really good. Compared to some other steam irons, it's a little bulky, but the weight feels reassuringly substantial.
You can get this iron in the plum colour shown above, and it's also available in purple. The purple has a different model number (VIN383) and that one seems harder to find. online and in retailers.
Actual Performance
Heating up is very good and it took around 30 seconds before I could use the iron. The temperature control is precise, and that's worth knowing if you need to iron delicate delicate fabrics. The 220g steam shot tackles even the most stubborn creases really well, while the 60g continuous steam keeps the steam flowing smoothly. I also tried the vertical steaming which was pretty impressive, making quick work of drapes and delicate garments.

I have compared this iron to two very similar models, the Tefal FV9845 and the Morphy Richards 302000. You can see that it compares well with those. It is a heavier iron which some people like and it heats up faster.
