The water tanks is large at 1.6 litres which of course means it doesn't need topped up very often.
This is enough for around 2 hours of ironing. This tank can be detached, filled and then attached again to the iron.
This iron uses 5 material settings of silk, wool, cotton, linen and synthetics. You select which one you want to use, and the iron automatically adjusts the temperature of the soleplate.
This model is part of Tefals Pro Express Care Anti Scale range.
That means it combines anti-stain and anti-scale technology, that provides double protection and precise ironing results.
With 7.5 bars of pressure and a steam boost of up to 500g/min, it’s one of Tefals most powerful high pressure steam generators
This iron has an integrated boiler which transforms water into high pressure steam to penetrate fabrics deeply. For you that means faster crease removal and more precise ironing. Plus, an ultra-fast heat-up time of two minutes means it’s ready to go in the time it takes you to get the ironing board out!
- It is also worth mentioning that it has a cord rewinder, that rewinds the cord automatically when you’re done, and pushing it inside the base for quick and easy storage
- The iron locks securely on to the base and may be carried safely by the iron’s handle. That makes it safe to carry around and you can even store the iron while it’s still warm – no need to wait for it to cool down
- It also has a very good soleplate and that has an auto-clean coating that keeps it stain free
