This Tefal GV6340 iron is at the lower end of the price point for this style and type of iron. It does not however get a very good rating.
As of writing this buyers rated this iron with a 74% buyer satisfaction. It is priced just under £150, so it is still not a cheap option.
So when we look at the price and the rating, we can say that plenty of people have bought this one, and 3 out of every 4 people seem well pleased with their purchase.

Who Would Buy the Tefal GV6340 Actis?
It is at the lower end of the price scale for generator style irons. That makes this popular for people who are trying to buy one of these, without breaking the bank.
It is also a good brand. A number of buyers complained that it felt flimsy, and others said it was just not powerful enough.
This iron has been designed for smaller homes, or for homes who do not have a lot of storage available. It is lighter than most steam generating irons and that does make it easier to move around.
Key Features of the Tefal Gv6340 Model
Below I have listed the most important features of this Tefal iron. Underneath that I have then looked in more detail at the main features that make this iron useful for general purpose ironing jobs.

Key Feature List

- You get 4.7 bars of pressure and 100 grams per second
- Small and compact than many of these larger irons
- A safety auto-cut off feature
- 2 minute heat up time
- Designed for homes with tight storage space
- Weighs 3.3 Kg
- 1.2 litre water tank
- Uses 2,200 watts of power

This iron is a lot more powerful than a normal steam iron. That said it is not as powerful as your normal and larger steam generating iron.
This one has been specifically designed to suit smaller homes, or homes who don't have a lot of storage space.
That is why the iron is lighter, not as big and has a smaller water tank. It is in my opinion still a better and faster iron than a normal steam iron.
That is because it generates 3 times more steam, than a standard iron.
It is not however as good as the full blown larger steam generators. Let's have a quick look at its main features.
Improved & Enhanced Safety Features

Using any type of steam iron can result in burns , especially to the hands. There is also a risk of forgetting about your iron and leaving it on.
This model has an auto-cut off feature, to cut the power to the iron, if it is forgotten about. That is always a useful feature to have on any iron.
This is an important and I think very useful feature to have on your iron. Households can get very busy, and it is easy to get distracted.
Faster Ironing

This iron will allow you to iron a pile of clothes faster, that using your standard iron. The water tank holds around 1.2 litres of water, and that will let you iron, uninterrupted for about an hour, before a refill is required.
It is also easy to carry and very easy to store s it does not take up a lot of room.
The boiler was designed to make it smaller and lighter. If you are someone who wants an iron that produces a lot of steam, but is not huge and bulky, then this would be a good choice.
What Buyers Liked About the Tefal Gv8461
I have summarised the reviews on this GV6340 model. As you can see from the high rating these were overall quite disappointing. I did however notice that buyers particularly liked the following elements about this model:

- The iron is really easy to hold and comfortable to use
- This iron is certainly faster at ironing than a normal iron, and creates a lot more steam
- There is a button that allows you to switch the steam on and off
- Does what it says it will do
- Good enough value for money
What Buyers Did Not Like About this Tefal Actis Iron
The reviews are overall not that great. I have listed below the main complaints about this iron:
- Looked flimsy and could fall over easily
- Some buyers received a faulty product
- It does not iron that well
Overall Verdict
The Tefal GV6340 Actis is somewhere between a good steam iron, and one of the more powerful steam generating irons. Overall the buyer ratings are quite mixed, hence the overall average rating of 74%.
Many buyers have purchased this model. If this is not the model for you, then check out our full range of Tefal Iron reviews here, or if you prefer have a look at our top 10 list of all the available iron brands here.
For quite a few buyers though, this one is still good enough, and is at the lower end of the price points.
A really good steam iron. Light and easy to use, glides over the lining. This is the 4th steam of this type I have had over the past few years and it is fair to say that it has been the least expensive and the best. It’s just great.
