MAIN FEATURES & BENEFITS of The GC6611/30 Model
The GC6611/30 is ideal for someone who wants a smaller version of these steam generator irons. This one from Philips is on average about 40% smaller and lighter.
One of the main complaints people have about these newer and faster types of irons is that they are a pain to store.
They are large and bulky and take up quite a lot of room. This model will solve that problem for sure. It remains nevertheless quite a powerful iron. With 4.2 bars of pressure it can deliver a full 95 grams of continuous steam.
That will make short work of any creases and wrinkles. There is also a 120 gram steam boost for the really troublesome creases.
Tank
This one has a 1.2 litre tank and that is smaller than the average tank size of around 1.7 litres. The reason for that though is because this iron is about half the size of a normal steam generating iron.
Heat Up Time
When you switch this one on it takes two minutes to heat up before you can start the pile of ironing.
Easy to Clean
All irons do need a little maintenance from time to time. They will either need to have a filter replaced or the dirty water removed from the tank. This one tells you when that needs to be done and it takes about a minute to sort that out.

Summary & Recommendation For the GC6611/30
If you can find the GC6611/30 for under £100 then I think it is worth that sort of money. The full RRP of £200 is just way too expensive given the many irons that are available out there. This is a down sized version of the larger steam generators so this will suit some people and not others. It works really well though so please do not be put off by the size.

If I had to complain about this one it would be the tank size. I think with some imagination they could have made this bigger at maybe around 1.5 litres, but all things considered, this is a great iron that works really well. As long as you can find it at the right price, it is certainly good value for money.
