Morphy Richards Power Steam Elite 330005 Review
The 330005 model from Morphy Richards is a relatively new entrant to the market place in the UK. It is a 5 bar pressure iron with an extra large 2 litre water tank. It has 4.5 bars of pressure and can produce an amazing 160 grams of steam per minute.
Below I have done a full review of this model, and it is another good choice of iron, in the Morphy Richards range. This particular model is in their “Elite” range.

- It measures 38 x 30 x 20 cm and weighs 6 Kg
- It is powered by 2,400 watts which can deliver 160 grams per minute of instant steam under 4.5 bars of pressure
It has a ceramic sole plate
- This one has a high volume 1.7 litre detachable tank (6-8 hours of ironing)
- Super easy to use electronic settings
- 3 steam settings
- Comes with a 2 year warranty
The main benefit here is the 1.7 litre larger tank. More and more this is now becoming the norm for these standards of steam generating irons. When you can combine a good sized tank, with plenty of steam pressure, that makes the ideal steam generating iron.
Main Pros & What Buyers Liked
The majority of the reviews were all very positive. At the moment buyers give this one a high average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. That is a consistently strong rating, and that clearly makes this iron a very good product. It retails at around £129.99, but you can pick this up cheaper online, at around £119. The brand is a very good one, and buyers rate this one highly.
I have listed below the benefits people mentioned on a regular basis.
- The steam was very powerful and it handled even tough wrinkles with some considerable ease.
- The instructions were well written and easy to follow and understand
- Loved the big tank as that meant less trips to the sink to fill up
Main Cons & What Buyers Didn’t Like
There was only one bad review on this 330005 model and I have read it a few times and it still doesn’t make much sense to me.
- The person complained that the iron leaked and didn’t want the hassle of sending it back
Other than this single poor review, I could find nothing else that gave any people cause for concern. Sometimes products do arrive with problems, but as I mentioned, this one does not have that many bad reviews.
Try to do this about once every 3 months or 4 times a year. It prevents corrosion and will really increase the length of the life for your new iron. It is tempting not to do this, but that would be a big mistake.
By completing this simple step, you can literally add years to the life of your iron.
Hard Water Areas
All manufacturers recommend that in hard water areas, distilled water, or water softeners should be used. This will extend the life of any iron as it stops a scale building up.

Summary and Recommendation on the 330005 Model
This iron really is super simple to set up and use. Many buyers left comments that the ceramic soleplate was really good and simply glided easily over the clothes. The choice of three simple settings, low, medium and high made this iron very easy to use.
There are a number of lighting indicators to alert you to low water levels, or when you need to de-scale our iron.
For less than £120, you are getting a lot of features on this iron. It is easy to use and with the large tank, and the high pressure, you have got a very good all round iron. This one can also be used for dry ironing if you just need a quick once over.
