Morphy Richards 332001 Steam Generator UK Review 

In this article we review the 332001 model from the brand Morphy Richards. This is a fairly new addition to their great range of irons. There have been a high number of reviews on this one and the average rating is very high at 4.5 out of 5 stars. As you can see it does not get much better than that.

This Morphy Richards 332001 Power Steam Elite Steam Generator Iron with Auto Clean is around £170 so certainly not a cheap purchase but still a very good one if you can afford it. This model has a power 2,400 watt output and weighs around 7 Kg (About 15 lbs) It is the most powerful in their range of steam generator irons.

It has a 5 bar pressure and a 170 grams of pressurised steam so that will take the wrinkles and creases out of just about anything that you have to iron, including those stubborn jeans.

Detailed Review of the 332001 Model

Size & Weight

If you just go by the feedback from the buyers alone, then you should know that they are all as high as they can get. That should give you a lot of confidence that it is a very high quality product, and that is supported by all the high reviews.

If you have never bought one of these type of irons before, then they are much bigger than your standard iron. Just be aware of that if you are a first time buyer of one of these.Despite the size, this iron is extremely light.

Safety Lock

Please note that when you receive the iron it comes in the locked position. To release the iron you will need to push the white button and slide out the iron. Always remember to lock it though after use.

This is actually a built-in safety feature when carrying the iron around or when storing it away.

Settings

This iron has three steam settings and can deal with all types of creases. Initially you may think that the iron is a little noisier than you are used to, but this is normal for these style of irons, and it is not a long noise or annoying. The highest setting is good for steam cleaning jackets and suits.

It produces plenty of steam, which gets through the creases with some ease. All the buyers were highly impressed that with just one pass of this iron, the garment was finished.

Water Tank

The 332001 has a large removable water tank so you can either fill it up at the tap at your sink, or leave it in situ and use a jug or some other container. For most irons though one tank will be more than enough to be able to finish the iron from beginning to end.

Should the tank get low in water there is a warning beep.

Stylish

This iron also looks great and is one of the most stylish available on the market right now. The iron looks really good right out of the box and thankfully the instructions were easy to understand.

This one also moves about with just a few easy adjustments, so is great at quickly getting into corners and any awkward places.

Automatic Shut-Off

The automatic shut-off is of course an important safety feature. We can all forget sometimes that we have left the iron plugged in, and this feature will make sure it turns itself off to avoid any risk of over heating, or any danger of fire.

Soleplate

When using the iron you will get a really smooth ironing experience.

Easy to Clean

There is a built-in self cleaning capability, so you do not have to worry about having to do this yourself. The built-in filters means you do not have to spend any money buying cartridges, which is a big cost saver over time.

Summary of the Reviews

The overall average rating is 4.5 out of 5 stars so it is hard to argue with those. This is a high quality product from a very good company. It will help you quickly get through piles of ironing in a very short space of time. The large tank is great and it means you can get a lot of work done without having to constantly fill the tank.
