Top Tips for Buying an Ironing Board Cover

Measure the Size of Your Ironing Board

We appreciate that this sounds obvious. but we see many complaints about people buying a cover and then saying it didn't fit their board. Manufacturers of ironing boards to do make these in different sizes as you can see from the comparison table above.

Always measure the board from the tip to the heel for length, and then measure the width of the board. It is best to do this in centimetres.

When buying the cover make sure it is bigger than the board for both length and width. All of the covers available have some type of elastic to help make these a snug fit.

Foam and Covers

You do want to buy a cover with good foam layers in it. Those layers can basically absorb steam and help dry clothes much faster when ironing.
